“Then I will rejoice and cry” is a live event where the connection between the voice, the piano and the clarinet are explored through art songs (Lieder) and works by Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert. The art songs are usually a conversation between a voice and a piano, but the clarinet, which is often described as the instrument which resembles the human voice the most in sound and timbre, will take part in the conversation and bridge the gap between instruments and voices as a mixture of both.
